Special ATAA Conference News
For ATAA Chapter Councillors and Board members - March 2014
|
|
|
Dear ATAA Councillors,
We need your help...
I
am sending this email to all ATAA Chapter Councillors and board
members, and I hope that you will find it useful in your own official
and very important role with the ATAA. (If you are no longer an ATAA
Councillor, please send me a short email to update our records.) As
you probably know, the annual ATAA Conference is coming up in just a
few weeks time, and we would really appreciate your assistance to help
make sure that all of our ATAA members know about it. The 3-day
conference is such a great opportunity for both effective learning, and networking with colleagues. We really don't want anyone to miss out on this great opportunity. Early Bird special pricing offer ends 28th March.
At
your chapter meetings in the coming weeks, please help to give the
conference an extra plug. Keep handing out the promo flyers (or if you
run out, just ask for more). You might find that some of your local ATAA
members will be so appreciative that they will come back later and
thank you for the great information. It's getting urgent
- There is now a sense of urgency, because until now we had only
advertised the conference registrations to ATAA members (a benefit of
being a member). We are now advertising it more broadly to a much wider
audience, and any remaining "Meet the Speaker" workshop
places might be filled very quickly. We might also hit the upper limit
of the attendance numbers (we do have a capacity limit this year).
You can print this email, and have it handy for quick
reference at your meetings. And the text below is intended for you to
read selected bits to your chapter meeting as appropriate (maybe not all
of it). Please see more details below, and always feel free to send us
feedback and suggestions. It will help us enormously (and your members) if you could promote the conference at your chapter meetings. If
you are no longer an ATAA Councillor, please send me an email to update
the records - simply reply to this email. If you have something to
share, please feel free to write to me. best regards Robert B Brain ATAA National Director (2014 Conference and Member Services) mobile: 0438 355 910 |

2014 ATAA National Conference
|
Friday-Sunday, 9-11 May 2014 (8 weeks to go and counting)
You probably saw the
special email to all ATAA members a couple of weeks ago announcing that
conference registrations opened on Friday 28 February. And you might
have seen in the March edition of the ATAA (emailed) newsletter in
recent days that registrations are filling very fast. And that at least
one of the four "Meet the Speaker" workshops is already full.
The official
conference flyer was distributed at the February chapter meetings (see
it at right). If you missed it, you can download an updated PDF version here.
The updated version includes a minor revision to the list of speakers,
and the details of the fourth Meet the Speaker Workshop speaker.
To help you to promote the conference, and explain to others about
some of the holiday options while in Melbourne, we have a 2-page Conference Marketing Fact Sheet for you to download.
You are also very welcome to display the official conference display
logo (see small version at right) at your chapter meetings. You can download a high resolution version here. Or you can use a banner style of logo (to go across the top of a page or screen). Download it here.
If you have any use for a QR code, then feel free to download this one. We are utilising QR codes to
help members download the docs to their smartphone or tablet. Try
scanning the QR code at left to view the ATAA Conference web page on
your phone or tablet.

| Accommodation options
|
We have arranged a special room rate for accommodation at Rydges
Melbourne, the conference venue, with optional breakfast. To take
advantage of the negotiated rates (basic rate is less than $200 per
night!), you will need to register for the conference online, and nominate your accommodation and breakfast option.
And there are additional accommodation options just around the corner; but you will need to book these separately (or hook up with colleagues and share a room or unit).
|
It will be very helpful if you could print some of the mentioned materials
and take them with you to your chapter meeting.
Brief reminder of very useful topics in earlier editions
of these occasional emails: Sets of presentation slides for Chapter
meetings and Trading Expos; and marketing tips (radio station WII-FM,
and selling the sizzle, not the steak).
I do hope this
information will be useful to help you in your role in your ATAA
Chapter. Please promote the details to your members, and feel free to
send me feedback and ideas. More ATAA member services and marketing
information coming soon.
Best Regards
Robert B. Brain ATAA National Director (2014 Conference and Member Services) |
At some stage in the future, these emails and related materials will all be managed by the new ATAA web site. Until then, Robert Brain and Brainy's Share Market Toolbox is hosting these facilities. If you are no longer an ATAA Councillor, please email Robert Brain to have your name taken off the mailing list manually (please don't use the UnSubscribe option at this stage). |
